The contract of Bristol City's 25-year-old Irish captain, Jason Knight, is set to expire at the end of the season. Last month, the club confirmed that an agreement on a new deal had not been reached, which allows Knight to enter pre-contract negotiations with clubs outside of England. This situation could attract interest from Celtic or Rangers, though Bristol City might consider selling the midfielder in January or keeping him until the summer.
