According to Africafoot, Beşiktaş has initiated actions to recruit Souffian El Karouani in recent weeks.

Beşiktaş, also known as Kara Kartal, wants to sign Utrecht's Souffian El Karouani, having identified the left-back position as a priority. The club's focus shifted to the Netherlands because the performances of Jurasek and Rıdvan Yılmaz were considered inadequate. A transfer budget of around 3 million Euros has reportedly been set aside for the 25-year-old Moroccan international, a decision which followed a meeting about transfers between club president Serdal Adalı and coach Sergen Yalçın. El Karouani, who has made 5 appearances for Morocco and also holds Dutch nationality, has a contract with Utrecht until June 2026. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €15.00m, and he has been in excellent form this season, recording 2 goals and 8 assists in 14 Eredivisie matches. Several other clubs, including PSV, Manchester United, and Ajax, have also been reportedly associated with the defender.
