Stoke City are planning a transfer for Ipswich Town player Chiedozie Ogbene before the end of the summer window. He could become the third player to join from the Suffolk club this summer, following George Hirst and Ben Johnson. Stoke are pursuing the winger as manager Mark Robins wants to add another attacking option. The Potters have made a new enquiry for the 29-year-old, who joined Ipswich for approximately £8 million. He is now considered not needed following an Achilles injury and an unsuccessful loan at Sheffield United last season. It is currently unknown if Stoke are interested in a permanent or loan move for Ogbene, who is not part of Gary O'Neil's plans this year. Derby County had been previously reported as interested in Ogbene, but Football League World's fan pundit for the club, Shaun Woodward, advised his team to concentrate on different signings. The Republic of Ireland international has 35 caps and has scored 5 goals for his country. His contract with Ipswich is set to expire on June 30, 2028, and his current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
