Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers and West Bromwich Albion have previously shown interest in signing Bamba Dieng this summer. The 26-year-old Senegalese forward is a free agent after his contract with Lorient expired. According to French journalist Santi Aouna, Middlesbrough are in talks with Dieng, and Premier League team Hull City have also held discussions with the player, who is reportedly ready to reject offers from Saudi Arabia in favour of a move to England. Dieng has 24 caps and 2 goals for Senegal and moved to Lorient for a reported €7 million in January 2023. According to Transfermarkt, he currently has a market value of €15.00m.
