According to Mark McAdam via X, Millwall were among several clubs interested in English winger Reyes Cleary, and the list also included Bristol City, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City, and Derby County. The winger handed in a transfer request but remained at Barnsley, which he joined in July 2025, beyond the summer deadline; during that period, the club rejected bids of around £3 million for the 22-year-old. Last January, Barnsley had reportedly demanded a guaranteed £5 million for him. Cleary, who has two caps for the England U19 team, is under contract until June 2028 and has a current market value of €250K according to Transfermarkt.
