Chelsea is nearing an agreement with Rayo Vallecano to sign 28-year-old Spanish left-back Josep Chavarria, who is viewed as a quality reinforcement for manager Xabi Alonso. The player had a 50 million euro release clause with the Spanish club. Media reports have indicated that the deal would be for around 25 million euros. Chavarría joined Rayo Vallecano on 31/08/2022, and his contract is valid until 30/06/2030. His current Transfermarkt market value is €10.00m.
