Reports in Spain say Atletico Madrid now see Marc Pubill as a key player and have protected him with a release clause close to €500 million. Spanish reports describe Marc Pubill as one of the revelations of the 2025-26 season. There have also been reports that Atletico Madrid are working to improve his contract, potentially extending it to 2031 and raising his salary. Atletico Madrid have no intention to sell Marc Pubill.

Chelsea are considered the most interested party in signing Atlético Madrid's Marc Pubill. Atlético will demand a fee of €80 million for the 22-year-old Spanish centre-back. Pubill joined Atlético in July 2025 and has a contract until 2030.
