Swansea City are planning a move for Birmingham striker Kyogo Furuhashi. The Welsh side wants to strengthen its attacking options before the window closes, particularly after ending their pursuit of Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. The 31-year-old Japan international has 23 caps and 5 goals for his country. Birmingham are willing to consider offers in the final 10 days of the January window. Furuhashi's former club Celtic made a loan enquiry for him earlier in the window. He has had difficulty establishing himself at Birmingham since his summer transfer from Rennes, for which the fee was reported to be over €9 million. In 25 Championship appearances this season, he has scored no goals and provided one assist. His contract at Birmingham is valid until June 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €6.00m.
