Jakov Medic is garnering interest from West Bromwich Albion, who are in competition with Norwich City and several clubs from the lower tiers of the Bundesliga for his signature. Despite this interest, Medic reportedly prefers to join Norwich City. The 26-year-old defender, currently with Ajax, is on the brink of leaving the Dutch club after spending two seasons there. Ajax, who signed Medic for approximately three million euros from FC St. Pauli in the summer of 2023, are seeking a similar fee for his transfer. Although Medic has a contract with Ajax that runs until 2028, he spent the last season on loan at VfL Bochum, where he made 23 appearances. Norwich City, who are aspiring for promotion to the Premier League, view Medic as a dependable addition to their defense, which coincides with Medic's reported preference to join the Canaries.
