It is reported that West Bromwich Albion are attempting to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Alfie Devine, who spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Preston North End. Middlesbrough have also been linked with the 21-year-old. Preston have decided to activate their option to sign the player permanently for a fee of approximately £5m, but still have to convince him to join. It is said that other Championship sides want to intervene.
