Speaking to Bola Branca, former Sporting head of youth Joao Couto said he would like to see 22-year-old Portuguese striker Youssef Chermiti return to Sporting, where he came through the academy. Couto also suggested that Porto would be a very good club for the Rangers player should a significant offer be made. Galatasaray and PSV Eindhoven have also been linked with Chermiti, for whom Rangers reportedly rejected a £13m bid from Fenerbahce in January. Rangers are now demanding £25 million to sell the player, who has three years remaining on his contract. In the 2025/2026 Scottish Premiership season, Chermiti scored 11 goals and provided 3 assists in 25 appearances. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €15.00m.
