Transfer journalist Matteo Moretto reported that Sporting CP is following Germán Valera of Elche. Elche chairman Joaquín Buitrago confirmed that interest to Cadena SER. According to Moretto, Sporting CP is considering making an offer in the coming months. Valera's contract with Elche is valid until June 2027 and includes an automatic extension for one season if he plays twenty matches of at least 45 minutes.
