Former United States international defender Brek Shea has encouraged United States international Cameron Carter-Vickers (28) to challenge himself at a higher level and move to a "bigger" club. Shea suggested that a move to the English Premier League would be highly beneficial for Carter-Vickers' international ambitions. Shea stated that he knows they could still make another move, hopefully to England, adding that Carter-Vickers came through Tottenham and is definitely comfortable there. Carter-Vickers was previously linked with a £20 million move to Bayer Leverkusen last summer before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury. The centre-back, who joined Celtic in July 2022, has earned 19 caps for the United States. His contract with the Scottish club runs until 2029, and his current market value is €8.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
