Dundee United player Will Ferry, who has one cap for Ireland, is being considered by Martin O’Neill for Celtic as one of several potential left-back options to provide cover for Kieran Tierney. While officials at United are aware of the interest, a formal approach has not yet been made. The 25-year-old, who is entering the final year of his contract, has also received interest from other clubs, having recently turned down a £1.7 million move to a Czech club even after a fee was agreed, although that team is still trying to persuade him. Furthermore, Ferry has interest from the English Championship, and Blackburn Rovers have had a long-term interest in him. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €1.20m.
