Ouest-France reports that Benfica have made inquiries about a loan deal. Fofana is under contract until 2029 and lost his starting spot in autumn. West Ham also made inquiries a few weeks ago but did not follow up on them. Fofana did not intend to leave at the start of the transfer window, but his immediate future at Rennes is uncertain.
