Sunderland are aware of extensive interest from Premier League elite clubs in their 23-year-old goalkeeper, Robin Roefs. Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool are reportedly preparing bids for him. Sunderland signed Roefs from Eredivisie side NEC last summer for approximately £10m on a contract that runs until 2030. It is said that Sunderland expect huge offers for him in the summer window. A transfer for the Dutch goalkeeper could cost more than £50m and it is suggested Sunderland's signing of another goalkeeper in January was largely because of the interest in Roefs. The uncapped Netherlands international has made 24 Premier League appearances so far in the 2025/2026 season, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €18.00m.
