Nizaar Kinsella of the BBC reports that attempts by Chelsea to find Kendry Paez a new temporary home after his River Plate stint faltered were unsuccessful.

The Premier League side Chelsea has contacted Celtic to offer them the opportunity to sign Ecuadorian teenager Kendry Paez, and talks have been held regarding a potential deal. The 19-year-old has returned to Stamford Bridge after his loan to River Plate was ended early.

Celtic are interested in signing Chelsea's Kendry Páez on a loan deal, but they must prove he will receive sufficient game time. Chelsea's insistence on playing minutes is a critical factor, having previously recalled the Ecuador international from a loan at River Plate due to dissatisfaction with his playing time. The winger has also been offered to Blackburn Rovers, and a potential move to the Scottish club would offer Páez the chance to play in the Europa League.
