Hibernian are expected to sign Owen Elding from Sligo Rovers for a fee that is believed to be approximately €400,000. Personal terms have been agreed with the striker, and he will travel to Edinburgh for a medical on Tuesday.

Nineteen-year-old Sligo Rovers striker Owen Elding is expected to join Scottish Premiership side Hibernian in the next 48 hours. It is understood that Sligo Rovers have accepted an undisclosed six-figure offer which could increase to seven figures with add-ons and includes a sell-on clause. In the 2025 campaign, Elding scored 12 league goals and was named PFAI Young Player of the Year.
