Sporting Gijon are reportedly considering ending Oscar Cortés's loan early, which would see the 21-year-old winger return to Rangers. The Colombia international completed a permanent £4.5 million transfer to Rangers from Lens last summer before being sent on a season-long loan to the Spanish second-tier club. Cortés has only started one of his five appearances. Spanish outlet El Comerico reports that Sporting Gijon may discuss terminating the loan agreement with Rangers. The current deal is contracted for the rest of the season and includes no obligation for a permanent signing. Cortés's contract with Rangers runs until June 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.00m.
