Liverpool have accepted an offer from Bolton for Luca Stephenson, according to Pete O’Rourke.

Bolton Wanderers are set to sign Liverpool youngster Luca Stephenson. According to Alan Nixon, Bolton, now an English second-tier side, aim to finalize a deal for the 22-year-old for a price of £700,000.

It is reported that Bolton is a long-term admirer of Luca Stephenson. Stephenson reportedly has only a year left on his contract at Liverpool. Stephenson has stated that his biggest priority for his next step is to find a permanent home. He added that he has done three years on loan and has developed a lot, so he thinks the next thing needs to be different.

Bolton are interested in signing Luca Stephenson, a 22-year-old Liverpool player. Stephenson is currently on his second consecutive loan spell at Dundee United, where he has played as both a midfielder and a wing-back. The former Barrow loanee has five goals and five assists in 29 Scottish Premiership games this season. According to The Courier, Stephenson is expected to cost a six-figure sum for a permanent transfer, a fee that would likely prevent Dundee United from signing him. While Bolton could afford the fee, they face competition from other EFL clubs, and Football Insider has reported that Celtic and Rangers have also shown interest. It is thought that Stephenson may only be interested in joining Wanderers if they secure promotion to the Championship, a move that could be necessary to sign him ahead of the Old Firm giants.
