Kyogo Furuhashi has been transferred from Rennes to Birmingham City during the summer transfer window for a little over 9 million euros, including bonuses. He was recruited by Rennes at the end of January at the request of Jorge Sampaoli, who left the club shortly after. Furuhashi was overshadowed by the emergence of Kader Meïté and has now signed a three-year contract with the Championship club, Birmingham City, until June 2028.
