Birmingham City and Middlesbrough are reportedly also competing with Stoke City to sign Liam Millar, a 26-year-old Canadian winger from Hull City who also has English citizenship. This interest from the two clubs coincides with Hull's pursuit of Stoke's winger, Sorba Thomas. It is reported that Stoke have accepted a bid from Hull for Thomas, valued at up to £10m including add-ons, but his departure will not be approved unless a replacement is secured. While Stoke's pursuit of Millar is ongoing, Birmingham are also said to be considering a move to add to Chris Davies' attacking options before the transfer deadline on Tuesday. Millar joined Hull from FC Basel in August 2024 for a fee of €3.5 million and is under contract until June 2027. The winger has 44 caps and one goal for Canada, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €5.00m.
