Bild reported that Crystal Palace made a last-minute attempt to sign Kaishu Sano from Mainz 05 on Deadline Day. The club's Sporting Director, Christian Heidel, has made a final decision regarding the attempt.

Crystal Palace have shown recent interest in Mainz midfielder Kaishu Sano, 25. Discussions with the German club for the Japan international are underway, although they are not yet finalized. Sano joined Mainz in July 2024 and is under contract until 2028. His current market value is €50.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
