Liverpool informed Valencia this week that they intend to activate the €30m (£25m) release clause for right winger David Otorbi. In response, and to prevent the transfer, Valencia extended the Spain U18 international's contract by three years, an action that doubled his exit clause to €60m (£50m). Nacho Gallart, Otorbi's agent, has previously confirmed that in recent weeks several clubs have made inquiries, particularly clubs from the Premier League. It is also reported that Newcastle United are showing strong interest in the player.
