Jonathan David Transfer from Juventus to Chelsea
Juventus and Premier League clubs are interested in Jonathan David. Chelsea are maintaining regular contact to sign the 25-year-old Canadian International. According to a report from the Italian publication Tuttosport, the club has been making enquiries in recent weeks.
Jonathan David, a 25-year-old Canadian international who joined Juventus from LOSC last summer on a five-season contract, could leave as soon as January. After scoring only one goal in 12 matches and losing his starting position under new manager Luciano Spalletti, David is no longer considered the first-choice striker, according to information from La Gazzetta dello Sport, which could lead to his departure. In Serie A this season, he has registered one goal and one assist in nine appearances. The Italian newspaper reports that the same Premier League clubs could be interested in signing him, specifically mentioning Chelsea and Tottenham as potentially interested clubs. The striker, who has 71 caps and 37 goals for Canada, has a current market value of €45.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
