Voetbal International has reported that the Championship clubs Leicester City, Southampton, Middlesbrough, Stoke City, and Birmingham City have all inquired about signing Joel Piroe this month. The striker has rejected their approaches because he is not in a hurry to leave Elland Road.

It is reported that several second-tier sides are monitoring Joël Piroe's situation at Leeds United, where the Dutch-Surinamese striker's opportunities have decreased following the club's promotion. No one at Elland Road is actively trying to sell Piroe, and they believe the 26-year-old wants to demonstrate his ability at the top level; however, there is an acceptance that a decision would be needed if any offers are made this month. Birmingham City, Middlesbrough, and Stoke City are noted as clubs that could be attentive if Piroe becomes available. The interest from Birmingham could be heightened due to uncertainty regarding their current strikers, who include Lyndon Dykes and Kyogo Furuhashi. Piroe joined Leeds in August 2023 for a fee reported to be €14 million and has a contract that runs until June 2027. He has made 10 Premier League appearances this season, and his current valuation on Transfermarkt is €15.00m.
