Arsenal are reportedly preparing to open talks with 31-year-old Spanish goalkeeper David Raya over a new long-term contract as they look to secure the future of their first-choice goalkeeper. According to Football Insider, Arsenal are expected to hold discussions with Raya to discuss extending his contract beyond 2028. Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke explained that Arsenal will probably look to discuss a new deal with Raya because he is the undisputed number one under Arteta. Raya, who has 14 caps for Spain, joined Arsenal permanently in July 2024 following an initial loan from Brentford for a reported total fee of €35.2 million. His market value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt to be €30.00m, and Real Madrid have been linked with the player.
