Harry Clarke has signed a three-year deal at Preston North End. Boss Paul Heckingbottom said he is really pleased they have managed to complete a deal for Harry.

Harry Clarke has joined EFL Championship side Preston North End on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee, ending his three-and-a-half-year period at Ipswich Town. Clarke made 67 appearances for the club and contributed to their promotions. He made his Premier League debut in 2024 for Ipswich Town before spending time on loan at Sheffield United and Charlton Athletic.

Preston North End are among several clubs interested in signing Ipswich Town's 25-year-old English right-back, Harry Clarke. It is reported that Stoke City and Sheffield United are also interested in the player. Bristol City had been considered the most likely to sign him after first showing interest in June, but it is possible they have since ended their pursuit due to the competition. Clarke, who joined Ipswich in January 2023, has a contract until June 2027. He made 7 Premier League appearances in the 2025/2026 season and has been capped twice for England at the U17 level. The player is valued at €2.50m by Transfermarkt.
