Etta Eyong Transfer from Levante to FC Barcelona

Barcelona is considering Etta Eyong to renew their forward line, and he could be the substitute for Lewandowski next season. Etta Eyong expressed that he feels very flattered by the rumors linking him to Barcelona and Real Madrid because it indicates his efforts are being recognized. Eyong wants his transfer to be defined in the upcoming January market and to remain on loan at Levante until the end of the season. Despite the rumors, Etta Eyong said that he must continue with Levante and that he will see what happens. He stated that he tries not to pay attention to rumors and that if he is to make a significant career move, it will only happen if he works hard.

Team Talk reports that Eyong has an ongoing interest in joining Barcelona and is said to be willing to wait for the Catalan club until 2026.

Etta Eyong is being considered by FC Barcelona as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose contract ends this season. A report from MD states that the 22-year-old Cameroonian international is a target for the club. The club tried to sign him last summer but was unable to due to 'fair play' financial rules. Eyong hopes to have his future decided in the upcoming January transfer window, with the intention that a club signs him then. Because regulations prevent him from playing for a third club in one season, he would stay on loan at Levante until June 30. While Barcelona is considered to have an advantage, they face competition from Real Madrid, as well as Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal from the Premier League. The striker's release clause is 30 million euros for LaLiga teams and 40 million euros for Premier League clubs. The centre-forward joined Levante in September 2025 and has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 10 LaLiga appearances this season. His contract with the club runs until June 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €20.00m.
