Cuiabano Transfer from Botafogo to Nottingham Forest

Cuiabano left Botafogo for Nottingham Forest and has returned to Botafogo on loan until the end of 2025. The relationship between John Textor and Evangelos Marinakis facilitated these negotiations.

Cuiabano was sold to Nottingham Forest four days ago but returned to Botafogo on loan by the end of Tuesday. The transfer was not counted as a reinforcement for Botafogo as he never effectively left the club.

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Botafogo defender Cuiabano. The Brazil left-back has signed a four-year deal at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest has agreed on the transfer of left-back Cuiabana, making him the fourth player to join from Botafogo this summer.

Botafogo has accepted a proposal from Nottingham Forest for left-back Cuiabano. The negotiation is at an agreement level between the clubs, pending only the approval of the player. Cuiabano is currently in Brazil recovering from an ankle sprain. Previously, Cuiabano showed interest in a move to European football but encountered salary issues with Nottingham Forest.

Cuiabano from Botafogo is on the verge of being sold to Nottingham Forest as part of a deal involving three players totaling a bit more than 35 million euros.

Cuiabano, who plays as a right-back for Botafogo, is poised to join Nottingham Forest, currently ranked 7th in the Premier League, during the upcoming summer transfer window. This move is part of a major strategic operation orchestrated by the club's owners, Evangelos Marinakis and John Textor. The Athletic journalist, David Ornstein, reported that Cuiabano will be one of three Botafogo players transferring to Nottingham Forest, along with central defender Jair Cunha and striker Igor Jesus. While the financial specifics of the transfer have not been disclosed, there is speculation that the funds from this deal could potentially support Eagle Football, possibly aiding Olympique Lyonnais.
