It is understood that Nottingham Forest is one of several English clubs that have been monitoring 20-year-old Strasbourg winger and Moroccan international Gessime Yassine this season. Brighton, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Brentford, and Everton are also reportedly monitoring the player. He is considered a promising attacking prospect in France. However, Chelsea has a significant advantage in determining his future due to the BlueCo ownership group's connection to Strasbourg. Yassine is said to be comfortable with the prospect of an eventual move to the west London club, which is said to have a clear long-term plan for him. The timing of any potential transfer remains uncertain. Yassine joined Strasbourg in January 2026 from Dunkerque for a reported fee of €7 million, and his current contract runs until June 2030. He has 9 caps and 1 goal for Morocco. His current market value is €20.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
