Rangers have reportedly become the latest club to express interest in signing Excelsior centre-back Casper Widell. The 23-year-old former Sweden U21 international moved to the Eredivisie from Helsinborgs IF three years ago. It is reported that Widell will be permitted to leave the Dutch club this summer for an acceptable price. Widell is approaching the final year of his contract and has also attracted interest from Blackburn Rovers and Derby County. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.50m.
