Leeds United are interested in signing 19-year-old Scottish defensive midfielder Bailey Rice, whose contract at Ibrox will expire at the end of the month. Rangers are now prepared to stop contract extension talks and allow him to leave on a free transfer because of a lack of progress. It is also reported that a number of other Premier League clubs are interested, and any club that signs Rice will be required to pay Rangers a compensation fee.
