Andriy Lunin Transfer from Real Madrid to Galatasaray
Andriy Lunin, a 26-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper who has played 12 matches across all competitions this season, might leave Real Madrid in the next summer transfer window. Despite extending his contract until June 2030 in September, he has attracted interest from Galatasaray. The Turkish club is considering replacing their current first-choice goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, who has been with them since 2011. Marca reports that a loan offer might persuade Real Madrid to let go of Thibaut Courtois' backup.
Galatasaray has expressed interest in acquiring Andriy Lunin from Real Madrid. Lunin is reportedly looking for a new challenge as he currently serves as the second-choice goalkeeper behind Thibaut Courtois. Galatasaray intends to allocate a significant portion of their transfer budget to secure his signing and is using their participation in the Champions League as a potential draw. Additionally, Manchester United, PSG, and Bayern Munich are said to be interested in Lunin as well. Having been with Real Madrid since 2018, Lunin attracted attention with his impressive performances during Courtois's injury absence. His market value stands at approximately 20 million Euros, with his contract at Real Madrid extending until 2030. Nevertheless, Lunin is reportedly eager for a new adventure, and Galatasaray is keen to bring him in to replace Fernando Muslera, who is expected to leave at the end of the season.
