Yan Diomande Transfer from RB Leipzig to Chelsea

Chelsea have registered interest in RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, and Sky Germany have confirmed that it will cost a fee in excess of €100m to sign him next year. Diomande is fully focused on performing for Leipzig and a transfer will only become a genuine possibility after the 2026 World Cup.

Chelsea have been informed that they must pay over €100 million to sign RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande. According to Sky Germany, Chelsea are monitoring the player's development, and the outlet has reiterated its previous reporting that a fee of over €100 million would be required to sign him. There are currently no talks taking place for the 19-year-old, but the interest in him is definite.

Chelsea were revealed as potential suitors for him on November 5, and his progress has attracted their interest. Bild adds that it is becoming increasingly likely that at least one top club will attempt to sign him next summer. Leipzig director of sport Marcel Schafer recently admitted that such a deal would validate their work, though he hopes to keep the player for at least another year or two. A high transfer fee will be required to sign him from Leipzig. The club is in a strong negotiating position as the forward has no release clause and is contracted until June 2030. If his performances continue, he could be sold for a price similar to Benjamin Sesko (£74 million) or Josko Gvardiol (£77 million).

According to Graeme Bailey, Chelsea have been impressed with Yan Diomande. Bailey told The Chelsea Chronicle that he was informed Chelsea was one of the clubs that saw the player in Spain before RB Leipzig signed him. He also stated that Chelsea's scouts have been very impressed with Diomande. A report from Sky Germany mentioned that RB Leipzig has placed a €100m price tag on the teenager to deter potential suitors in 2026.

Graeme Bailey from TBR Football reported that Chelsea has sent scouts to observe Yan Diomandé in recent weeks. His market value is estimated at 20 million euros. In Germany, Diomandé earns an annual salary of 750,000 euros (487,500,000 FCFA).

A report from TBR Football indicates that Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are among several Premier League clubs monitoring Yan Diomande's development and have watched him on multiple occasions. The 18-year-old RB Leipzig winger is also reportedly being monitored by Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. Graeme Bailey told TBR Football that Diomande is the player everyone is discussing, and that Red Bull reportedly views him as their greatest prospect since Erling Haaland. Leipzig maintains there is no release clause for the player, who is valued in the £88 million category. Bailey also stated that, based on what he is hearing from scouts and clubs, no other player in Europe is currently generating more excitement.
