Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are monitoring Barcelona's 19-year-old Spanish defender, Xavi Espart. Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus are also following his progress. CaughtOffside was informed by sources close to the agents industry that both North London clubs have watched Espart live and have compiled detailed scouting reports on him, although no formal negotiations have started. Espart has a long-term professional contract with Barcelona that was secured on July 1, 2026, runs until June 2030, and includes a release clause of over €100 million. The player's current market value is approximately €25 million, and it is reported that Barcelona would only consider discussions for an offer of around €40 million to €50 million plus bonuses. Currently, Tottenham and Arsenal are monitoring the situation and not negotiating. Espart has made 2 appearances for the Spain U21 national team.
