Sources at Tottenham have confirmed the club did not include a buy-back clause in Will Lankshear's summer transfer to Middlesbrough, a deal potentially worth up to £20 million. The agreement does include a 'matching-right' clause, which allows Spurs to equal a future bid for the 21-year-old England Under-21 international. Lankshear's contract with Middlesbrough runs until 2031, and it is understood he wants to reach the Premier League with his current club.
