Walter Mazzantti Transfer from Huracán to Boca Juniors
Walter Mazzantti was a key target for Boca Juniors, who entered into negotiations to acquire him from Huracán. Boca initially made an offer of 3 million USD for the full transfer, which was promptly rejected. Subsequently, they increased their offer by 500,000 USD for 80% of Mazzantti, but this proposal was also declined. Mazzantti himself was reportedly interested in playing for Boca, mentioning that it would be 'nice' to wear their colors. However, the deal ultimately did not materialize. Instead, Independiente intervened and successfully completed Mazzantti's transfer. The agreement between Independiente and Huracán was sealed at 3.5 million USD, with 2 million going to Huracán and 1.5 million to Huachipato of Chile, who owned 50% of his rights. The transfer also included the loan of Ignacio Maestro Puch to Huracán. Mazzantti is set to sign a contract with Independiente until December 2028.
