TYC reported that Boca Juniors inquired about Lucas Passerini but ended negotiations due to the high demands of his club.

Luis Fabián Artime, president of Belgrano, stated that there is interest from Boca Juniors in Lucas Passerini but clarified that no formal offer has been made. Artime said he would not transfer the player for a low value and set an ultimatum, stating that 48 hours remain before the transfer window closes and that they will stop listening to offers from the following day. Artime explained that Belgrano owns 65% of Passerini's rights, the player owns 10%, and Unión La Calera of Chile owns 25%. He also stated that Belgrano has no risk or necessity to sell and that Passerini has a contract until December 2028 with no release clause. It was circulated in the market that Boca Juniors might offer Juan Barinaga as part of the negotiation, an option for which Artime did not express enthusiasm.

According to TYC, Boca Juniors have intensified their pursuit of Lucas Passerini and are increasing their efforts to sign him. Passerini is currently the most viable option Boca have found in this transfer window. A departure would not involve a large sum of money, and the 32-year-old from Formosa could become the fourth signing for the Vasco in the coming days. Negotiations between Juan Román Riquelme and Luis Fabián Artime are progressing steadily.
