Tom Watson Transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion to Stoke City
According to sources for TEAMtalk, Stoke is one of several Championship clubs interested in Tommy Watson. Burnley, Bristol City, Preston, and Millwall are also reported to be interested. Interest in the 19-year-old English winger also comes from outside England, as clubs in Portugal, France, and Germany have contacted Brighton. Brighton has indicated they are willing to let Watson leave this month, and their priority is that he joins a club where he will get regular senior football. While Brighton is believed to be open to various proposals, they are reportedly not willing to consider a permanent transfer, even though some foreign clubs have made inquiries about such a deal. Watson’s representatives are currently assessing the situation, considering a Championship loan versus a move abroad, and a decision is anticipated in the coming days as clubs make their offers formal. The England U21 international joined Brighton in July 2025 for a €12 million fee, and his contract is valid until June 2029. This season, he has made six Premier League appearances, and has also scored one goal and provided three assists in three EFL Cup matches. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €10 million.
