Valentino Livramento: Newcastle United Contract Extension
Newcastle have insisted the 23-year-old is not for sale and have been seeking to secure a new contract with him. According to The Daily Mail, Tino Livramento has delayed signing a new deal at St James’ Park and will only consider talks at the end of the season. Livramento is still happy at Newcastle and has not actively sought a departure or suggested he is against extending his current deal, which expires in 2028. Eddie Howe’s side remain hopeful of convincing Livramento to renew his contract and are willing to reward him for his progress by making him one of the club’s highest-paid players.
When asked if Tino Livramento would rather extend his Newcastle contract or seek a move to Manchester City, Jones stated that Livramento is happy at Newcastle and is in a good position. Jones added that the player wants to push the limits of a new contract and may sign a new deal if Newcastle's plans seem suitable. Jones also expects Livramento's family to listen carefully to the club's statements about his future and their plans. When asked about a new contract, Livramento said that it is not something he controls and that he leaves it to his father and his agent. He explained that after being out for seven weeks, he has been working hard to return and help the team, adding that he is very happy with how he has played and his focus remains on his current situation.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Tino Livramento is happy at Newcastle and would be open to signing a new contract in the coming months. Livramento is currently contracted to Newcastle until 2028. New sporting director Ross Wilson will look to offer the full-back a new deal in the coming months.
Newcastle wants to end the rumors by preparing a six-year contract extension with a salary increase, making him one of the highest-paid players in the squad. Additionally, Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value at 40 million euros.
