Magassa is now assessing the sporting project at Sevilla before making his choice. Foot Mercato describes a resolution as imminent.

Sevilla and Bologna have both submitted proposals to West Ham for Soungoutou Magassa, a French-Malian defensive midfielder. Each club has offered a paid loan that includes an obligation to buy. This type of deal is attractive to the West Ham management, as the club must reduce its wage bill following relegation and this guarantees a future cash inflow. Other clubs, including Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais, LOSC, and RB Leipzig, had previously been interested in the player. Magassa, who joined the London-based club from AS Monaco for €17 million and is currently valued at more than that amount, has not played in the Championship this season as he is waiting for a transfer. The 22-year-old has three caps for the France U23 team and a contract with West Ham until June 2031. He is now evaluating the two offers, and a decision is expected soon.
