Several clubs, including Celtic, are showing an interest in the 21-year-old Danish midfielder Silas Andersen. Rangers are reportedly foremost among the clubs attempting to sign him. Rangers have made contact about a potential January move for the player, who is considered a top target, and conversations with his representatives are ongoing. Last summer, FC Copenhagen and Nottingham Forest were also interested in Andersen. He is currently under contract until June 2028 and is not expected to be inexpensive. The midfielder has earned 6 caps and scored 2 goals for the Denmark U21 national team. Häcken purchased Andersen in January 2025 for a reported fee of €1.0M. In August 2025, the club reportedly rejected an offer of approximately €4.4M from FC Köpenhamn. Reports from July 2025 suggested an asking price in the range of €5M-€6M.
