Nottingham Forest have monitored Samu Aghehowa's progress by sending scouts to several of Porto’s recent league and European matches. Sources close to the agents industry informed CaughtOffside that Tottenham, Arsenal, and Newcastle United have joined Nottingham Forest in tracking the 21-year-old Spanish-Nigerian striker. These sources also stated that he has attracted interest from La Liga. Tottenham are considered to be the most serious suitor, having discussed a possible short-term deal with an option to buy. Porto fully own the player’s rights and have included a €100 million release clause in his contract, a figure they insist they will not negotiate below. Despite this, sources close to the Portuguese club believe financial pressures could cause them to reconsider their position if a substantial offer is presented. Aghehowa, who joined Porto in August 2024, has scored five goals in seven league appearances this season. The three-cap Spanish international's contract is valid until 2029 and Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €50 million.
