Romano Schmid Transfer from SV Werder Bremen to Leeds United

According to the German 'Bild' newspaper, there was contact between Leeds and Romano Schmid a few weeks ago, but the talks did not result in an agreement at that time. The newspaper also reported that the situation could now apparently progress very quickly. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also reports that the Premier League club wants to sign the 25-year-old Austrian player for a transfer fee of 15 million euros. The report from 'Bild' adds that Bremen urgently need high transfer revenues. Additionally, the northern Germans brought two players from Leeds to Bremen last summer: Maximilian Wöber and Isaac Schmidt.

According to Fabrizio Romano, discussions are ongoing between Werder Bremen and Leeds United over a potential winter transfer for Romano Schmid. A transfer fee of 15 million euros plus bonuses is under consideration for the 25-year-old Austrian attacking midfielder. His contract with Werder Bremen runs until 2027, and the German club views Schmid as sellable.
