Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig have both monitored Hull City's Australian and German defender Lucas Herrington this season. They are among an increasing number of clubs tracking the 19-year-old, and Barcelona maintains a strong interest. It has been reported that the Catalan club's scouts have been impressed with his development since his move to England in August 2026. Several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, and Newcastle United, also showed interest in Herrington during the summer, while his situation was monitored by Chelsea's owners BlueCo and Manchester City's parent company City Football Group. The Australia international, who has 8 caps, is under contract until 2031 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €15.00m. His transfer to Hull City involved an initial fee reported to be around €15M, with the total deal potentially rising to €22M. It was also said that a reported €10M bid from Barcelona was rejected in June 2026.
