MD reported that Elche, a club in the Spanish Primera División, proposed a loan with an option to buy for 21-year-old Spanish left-back Roger Hinojo. According to the same source, the newly promoted Racing de Santander also made a similar loan offer. French club Estrasburgo showed interest in his situation, and Polish champions Lech Poznan submitted a bid of three million euros for the player. Espanyol declined all proposals, as the club intends for Hinojo to remain with the first team. This decision was supported by his positive preseason performances. Hinojo joined Espanyol in July 2025 and his contract runs until June 30, 2030. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 37 appearances in LaLiga2, scoring one goal and providing one assist, in addition to one appearance in LaLiga. Transfermarkt lists his market value at €1.00m.
