Reyes Cleary Transfer from Barnsley to Birmingham City
Birmingham City could try to sign 21-year-old Reyes Cleary, who left local rivals West Brom in the summer to join Barnsley on an initial three-year contract. Playing predominantly on the left wing, he has registered five goals and nine assists in his first 25 appearances for the League One club. Blackburn Rovers have also been linked with Cleary and reportedly had a £1m bid turned down. Barnsley is said to be commanding a £5m fee. This is considered a price Birmingham City could afford after spending two eight-figure sums to sign Jay Stansfield and Kyogo Furuhashi. Cleary is also seen as a player whose potential could grow along with the club. He has been capped by England at U19 level, and according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €150k.
