In November, John Textor presented a proposal of 14 million euros for Rayan to join Lyon. The proposal included Vasco settling a 15 million Brazilian Real debt with Botafogo's CEO, which is also owned by Textor. Vasco would use Botafogo's Nilton Santos stadium for three years while their own stadium undergoes renovations. However, the transfer was hindered because Lyon had reached the foreign player limit and planned to loan Rayan to RWD Molenbeek, which the player's team found unfavorable.

Lyon is interested in signing Rayan Rocha. According to Globe Esporte, the French club has already made an offer of 14 million euros for the forward from Vasco da Gama. However, the deal depends on Lyon's ability to free up a spot for foreign players, as they have reached their limit.
