Carlos Vinicius, a 31-year-old Brazilian centre-forward, is in the final phase of his contract with Grêmio, and his future remains uncertain. Atlético-MG, a rival in the Copa do Brasil semifinal, showed interest in the player some time ago. According to ge, Atlético-MG sought information a few months ago to understand the conditions for a potential deal, but there are no negotiations currently in progress. The player himself addressed the transfer speculation, stating that for over six months there have been rumors linking him to a pre-contract with Atlético, Vasco, and a club from Mexico, but he denied signing any such agreement. Grêmio and Vinicius have had conversations about a contract renewal, but no deal has been reached, with the club's efforts to avoid relegation influencing their plans for the next season. Vinicius's contract expires on 31/12/2026. The forward joined Grêmio in July 2025 and has scored 11 goals and provided 1 assist in 30 appearances in the domestic league this season. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €6.00m.
